Q.

Is funding available for indigenous small business owners in Australia?

A.
Small business owners of an indigenous ethnic background may be able to get funding to help them with their company needs through government grants or loans. These programs help offset some of the bias and systemic discrimination various small business industries hold regarding these demographics. As such, small business funding targeting indigenous applicants provides equal opportunity for venture ideas that may otherwise be overlooked. Indigenous status alone will not be sufficient to qualify, however, so some research shall still be required. If you require additional help finding or making sense of government small business funding programs offered in Australia, try contacting the ABFC online or at 1800 198 794 to see if our resources can help.
